I took these boots out the day I bought them last Spring.
They were comfortable from the start! These things shed
water well, and when they do get wet they dry quickly.
break-in time is minimal. The rubber soles have great
traction, and the thick rubber toe deflects most of the
impact from any rocks I kick into accidentally! Buy some
premium insoles, though. You can use Superfeet, or cheaper
versions that also work well. I do like the even lighter
Vasque BREEZE for light hikes. Often it is good to alternate
shoes to prevent fatigue and possible blisters.
Wore this in the field this week, not really sticking to any
trails. Worked awesome going up and down steep sandy/muddy
hills. At one point my entire body was soaked and my feet

wear a size 10 1/2 shoe and the size 44 fit me fine.
Loved them in the store. They didn't have the size I needed
so I came home and ordered them and they are being shipped
today should get them in two days. Will be out in them right
as soon as they get to my door. Cant wait. Sorry nothing
helpful here. :)
Scarpa makes great products and frankly the Kailash is no
exception. I use it for mid-weight backpacking trips. Great
all-around shoe that is more fashionable than the standard
